Mu On Mo #29 – Summer Tears… Of The Dead

July 16, 2012

With a certain chance of us all living a horrible undeath some time during this apocalyptic year, it’s better to focus elsewhere.

& to soothe the soul, what’s better than a few tunes ?

Here’s some Music On Monday…

As you may or may not have noticed, it’s Summer.

& if you haven’t… well, then you’re sense of the passage of time is way off.

Anyhoo, Summer always makes me think of a few things.

Things like women starting to dress in next to nothing & the men who follow them around outside, both ending up with melanoma.

But Summer also reminds me of the Dead.

No, not like zombies but artists who have passed away but had nice songs like the one that got the following comment on YouTube…

“When I listen to something like that I feel sorry for Lady Gaga and all those shitty singers.”

No, don’t feel sorry.

& shed no more tears.

Just enjoy the song…

That was Barbra Streisand & Donna Summer – No More Tears (Enough Is Enough), Donna RIP.

See you another time for more Summer Of The Dead ?

…that’s if we’re still around.

Mu On Mo #28 – Summer Tragedy… Of The Dead

July 9, 2012

With a certain chance of us all living a horrible undeath some time during this apocalyptic year, it’s better to focus elsewhere.

& to soothe the soul, what’s better than a few tunes ?

Here’s some Music On Monday…

As you may or may not have noticed, it’s Summer.

& if you haven’t… well, then you’re getting a huge energy bill with that airco of yours.

Anyhoo, Summer always makes me think of a few things.

Things like a barbecue, where after waiting for ages you finally get a flimsy piece of meat that’s half burned to a crisp which causes cancer while the other half’s still raw which causes food poisoning.

But Summer also reminds me of the Dead.

No, not like zombies but artists who have passed away but had nice songs like the one that got the following comment on YouTube…

“The scary thing is that all the people I knew as young are all going, RIP, peace to you all”

A sad fact of growing older, you lose those around you.

It’s always later than you think, so better to do & say the things you want now, while there’s still a chance.

I, for one, say: enjoy…

Co-written with his twin brother Maurice, that was Robin Gibb – Juliet, both RIP.

See you another time for more Summer Of The Dead ?

…that’s if we’re still around.

Mu On Mo #250 – Summer… Of The Dead

July 2, 2012

With a certain chance of us all living a horrible undeath some time during this apocalyptic year, it’s better to focus elsewhere.

& to soothe the soul, what’s better than a few tunes ?

Here’s some Music On Monday…

As you may or may not have read in yesterday’s post, it’s Summer.

& if it isn’t… well, then you’re on the wrong side of the planet ?

Anyhoo, Summer always makes me think of a few things.

Things like melting ice cream running over your hands, leaving them all sticky & your shoes ruined.

But also the Dead.

No, not like zombies but artists who have passed away but had nice songs like the one that got the following comment on YouTube…

“True Brothers. A rarity. An understanding of such a term.”

Apparently, they weren’t that brotherly by the end.

Which must’ve been difficult when disaster struck.

Oh well, here comes the sunny tribute…

For his murdered friend John, that was George Harrison – All Those Years Ago, both RIP.

See you another time for more Summer Of The Dead ?

…that’s if we’re still around.

Is He Hiding In A Mansion As Well ???

June 8, 2011

I guess it was only a matter of time.

Yes, the very next Navy SEAL target & Al-Qaeda’s #2 man Ayman Al-Zawahiri AKA The Surgeon has spoken about his dead pal Osama Bin Laden.

& it only took him 5 weeks to do so, wow whatta guy !

Who knows why it took Ayman over a whole month to finally acknowledge Thé Death of the year but maybe he was crying his little eyes out all this time (or perhaps celebrating he’s no longer playing 2nd fiddle).

Anyway, instead of reminiscing about the good ol’ days with Binnie Laden, like when they measured their beards for example, the vid contained a warning (these Muslim fanatics sure do like to warn a lot, don’t they ?).

But this particular warning was different.

Apparently, & I’m just going by the translation the news services provided, Al-Zawahiri said the following:

Osama Bin Laden would be…

(wait for it)

haunting all of us from beyond the grave !!! 😯

Say wha ?!

You mean bullets don’t do squat to stop these guys ???

Now that’s unexpected to say the least.

Now, unfortunately Al-Zawahiri didn’t go into specific detail if it’s zombie Bin Laden or poltergeist Bin Laden that we should worry about (oddly enough Muslim fanatics are usually pretty vague with their warnings).

But with Bin Laden’s corpse being dumped buried at sea, does that mean we’ll be ok as long as we stay on land ?

Maybe we’ll get some answers in a next vid…
