Fun Fun Fun… All Summer Long !

July 1, 2012

Yes, Summer.

I’d nearly forgotten about it.

But despite some days of lesser weather, it IS here.

That time of year when, after all those looong hours at work, you get to leave it all behind you & relax.

& what better way to do that, than to travel someplace new & then… finally unwind ?

Why, I can see the holiday postcard already.

There Is No Ripley, Only Goo !!!

June 12, 2012

& so it came to be that in the apocalyptic year of our Lord, 2012, the movie prequel Alien 0 was released.

Again.

Let us recap, lest we forget these previous examples of xenomorphia prequelis

2004 – Alien Vs Predator

2007 – Aliens Vs Predator: Requiem

2012 – Prometheus

…yes, we’ve been here twice before but this time Sir Ridley Scott will finally do things properly.

For 3rd time’s a charm, right ?

Weeelllll, sorta… kinda… maybe ???

Having seen Prometheus recently, I can say it left an impression.

Which should be good.

But there’s still some questions left, namely…

Whometheus ?

Whatmetheus ??

& Whymetheus ???

Whometheus ?

Well, take the God-finding mission of Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, add a recoloured version of the mutagenic ooze from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II & finally the pseudo-scientific ramblings of an average ufologist, last seen in the other prequel Alien Vs Predator & you’re nearly there.

…oh, & also a question-filled script with illogical & sometimes even stupid stuff by (obviously) the co-creator of TV series “Lost”, Damon Lindelof.

Whatmetheus ?

Taking place about 30 years prior to the events of movie Alien (1979), this spin-off prequel attempts to answer that other movie’s 1 fantastically cool mystery… just who or what was the Space Jockey ?

…going by the visuals & the behaviour, I’d say apparently the wet dreams of Adolf Hitler all rolled into 1.

Whymetheus ?

Something I’ve been asking myself because there are no words I can type to describe how utterly disappointing it was… to learn Guillermo Del Toro has apparently abandoned his own movie project At The Mountains Of Madness because of the events depicted in Prometheus.

Why, Damon, WHY ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

*snif*

…wait a second, t-that name of his, Damon…

Daemon ??? 😯

No More Madness
