Mu On Mo #09 – John & Lurve IV/IV

February 27, 2012

With a certain chance of us all dying a horrible death some time during this apocalyptic year, it’s better to focus elsewhere.

& to soothe the soul, what’s better than a few tunes ?

Here’s some Music On Monday…

Hello there !

Well, it’s another ending & once again… not easy.

This past month, because of Valentine’s Day, the theme was 1 of Lurve but what about relationships ?

Whether you’re straight, gay or an objectum-sexual, romantic relationships are difficult & they take a lot of work but even then, sooner or later, you’ll find conflict rearing it’s ugly head in some form or another even though you 2 are mad about eachother.

So for this final part a song that goes with that odd & normal, vague yet clear, scary but fun dream-like part of love.

It’s a song that got the following comment on YouTube…

“Could he get any more banal.

God he wrote some garbage.”

…oh, I see.

Well, guess we’re ending the whole Lurve theme with banal garbage instead of a bang.

A real shame but hey, who knows, perhaps you’ll still enjoy the song…

From the 70’s with dreamy love, that was John Lennon – #9 Dream.

…that’s if we’re still around.

Hello !

Have we completely recovered from Valentine’s Day ?

Whether the answer’s “Wii” or “non”, from time to time we all struggle with that eternal question…

What is love ?

Well, perhaps today with the 3rd part of the Lurve themed Mu On Mo you’ll find an answer as today’s song really goes into that question.

It’s a song that got the following comment on YouTube…

“It can save you from Voldemort….”

?

Weeelllll, I dunno about that but you be the judge.

Listen, find out & enjoy the song…

From the 70’s with love, that was Johnny Cash – A Thing Called Love.

Here’s some Music On Monday…

Hello & welcome to the 2nd part of a 4-part Lurve themed Mu On Mo.

After the still recent & unexpected news about Whitney Houston, I very nearly reconsidered today’s pick, as “I Will Always Love You” & so many other love songs of her seem more appropriate than ever.

But… this isn’t nor has it ever been The Whitney Houston Fan Blog, so for the time being the RIP post will have to suffice & besides that… today’s song needs to be heard too.

Now even though Valentine’s Day isn’t until tomorrow & only lasts a single day, I feel the following song really changes that.

It’s a song that can be listened to any time of the year & as soon as you do, you’ll feel instant deep love for your parents, for your pets & later (as you discuss that) for your psychiatrist.

It’s also the song that got the following comment on YouTube…

“Best lyrics ever. Bob Dylan must be jealous.”

Oh yes, high praise indeed but so very true.

For it is not just any ol’ love song.

Listen, feel the Lurve & enjoy the song…

From the 80’s with love… I think, that was P.I.L. (AKA Public Image Limited) – This Is Not A Love Song.

Hello again !

It’s February & that of course means…

…no, not the bitter stinging cold of Ol’ Man Winter but warmth !

Because gangrene or no gangrene in your frostbitten extremities, it’s nearly Valentine’s Day (again).

& so for the next few weeks, if all goes well, Mu On Mo will be following up on that theme of lil’ thing called Lurve.

With for example, the song that got the following YouTube comment…

“I love this song. This song represents the end of the world, the end of the sun, then the end of the universe. Quantum physics of the Big Bang theory.”

?

Well, I had no idea this song was sooo deep but hey, nothing but the best here on X-Mer’s New Atlantica Page.

Enjoy the end… uh, I mean enjoy the song…

From the 70’s with love, that was Bread – If.

Weblogging The Seeds Of Love

February 14, 2011

February 14th, today, is of course thé Lurve Day & when such a day arrives, it brings along an opportunity to make the best out of it.

So, I’ve decided to forgive all of Humanity’s enemies & send them the sweet Love they so desperately need.

Oh yes, sending out Love… nnnow !

…nah, I just couldn’t bring myself to make the effort to Love them.

Well, at least I sort of tried, maybe next year though ?

Hope you bastards die in the meantime !
