Glory Glory Hallelujah !

At long last.

At long looong last, the day millions of uninsured & sick people have waited for has finally arrived.

Because of the House Of Representatives voting “YES”, health care will now be for everyone.

Just as it should be.

& with this historic reform, the USA can join other countries all around this planet of ours.

Countries where you don’t die just because you lack $$$.

Countries where when you help those in need, you’re not labeled a socialist SOB.

Countries with common sense.

& speaking of common sense, it is truly astounding that in all the months leading up to this wonderful day, the Republicans resorted to only one thing…

Fear Mongering

If this plan of the Democrats was really that bad then how come they didn’t come up with their own plan to reform health care & improve upon the lives of over 30 millions of Americans ?

The very fact that they didn’t speaks volumes but it’s far from new behaviour…

Funny how they’re 101% insured but still quite sick.

Anyhoo, thanks to the hard efforts of many people, they lost & the passing of this bill is finally a reality.

With this, the US President has really earned his medal…

Keep marching on Obama !

The Best Of Times, The Worst Of Times…

November 8, 2009

Quite a week.

On the 1 hand, we had Major Nidal Malik Hasan kill & injure several of his fellow Americans & colleagues.

Now while murder because of religious fanaticism is ALWAYS wrong, there is 1 point in this matter I’ve heard too little about & yet found very interesting.

It concerns the Major apparently having said, on multiple occasions, that there was an anti-Muslim sentiment present in the military.

Now I don’t know if something was done about said complaints but that seems to reveal something more like a troubled man than a so-called homegrown terrorist.

In any case, sad news.

& on the other hand, we had the US House Of Representatives voting for health care & passing the bill.

Obviously, an historic event but it’s disturbing to notice that the grand total of 435 Representatives, who were in a position to do something tremendously positive for the country as a whole, still had 215 idiots among them.

In any case, happy news.

Quite a week indeed.

So much so that a certain famous quote would seem to apply here.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair…
