B4 X-Mer: Wolverine: Origins

Before X-Mer’s New Atlantica Page here on WordPress, there were the early days on “Windows Live Spaces”.

When they closed down, an offer was made to save & move content here.

What follows are some of my earliest attempts at… well… whatever it is I did there so long ago…

He knows. He knows EVERYTHING. And he’s coming for you !

Well, perhaps not.

What if the diminutive yet manly Wolverine had his memories restored ? That’s just what happened in the conclusion of House Of M to the hairy Canadian. And now Marvel will follow up this Earth shattering event by… wait for it… yes, another ongoing monthly comic.

That’s 2 Wolverine comics a month folks. But wait, isn’t Logan also an X-Man ? Why yes but only when his Avenger duties don’t get in the way.

Just how does he get around so much ? Simple ! The Merry-Marvel-Mucho-$$$-Machine teleports him instantly to wherever a fanboy has trouble lifting a heavy wallet. Yes, it truly warms the heart.

Look for Wolverine: Origins #1 sometime this Spring… or not.

Marvel seems to be really keen on doing the stories that we never thought we would see.That\’s doesn\’t have to be bad thing.I recently read the first three issues of Captain America (2005).This will be the storyline that will bring Bucky Barnes back (or not).I wasn\’t sure how I should feel about it.The death of Bucky seems to be one the few things left that has some meaning in the Marvel Universe. But the writer, Ed Brubaker has done a great job so far.I\’m really pulled into the story.Great writing, I\’m starting to think that Brubaker can actually make a great story around the return of Bucky. The art provided by Steve Epting is also great.Speaking of Brubaker. You should really check out his work in Books of Doom.I\’ve read the first two issues.Brubaker does an excellent job of (re)establishing the character of Victor von Doom.I think Books of Doom will be THE must read limited series of 2006.So I wouldn\’t worry to much about the new Wolverine comic.Sure, Wolverine has been overexposed, but that doesn\’t mean that Origins won\’t provide entertaining storylines.
