Answer:
They aren’t.
No one in their right mind would willingly choose for a continuation of a policy of backwardness.
This is pure corruption of power with the goal to keep the status quo for the current leaders intact.
But no matter how mighty, all these types of regimes fall in the end for the will of people who genuinely want freedom cannot & will not be held back…
